We are ideally located on highway 27 with easy access to theme parks, 11 miles to Disney’s main entrance .
5 minutes drive away on the 27 there is a 24 hour supermarket, Chinese,Italian Restaurants. MacDonalds & Subway takeaways, Pharmacy, Dry Cleaner and Beauty Salon on the 27.
There is a 24 hour pharmacy, hospital (medical centre) about 7-10 mins drive.
About 5.6 miles, approx 11 minutes + from Hampton Lakes there is a shopping area, Posner Park that has a number of popular shops, Michaels craft store, Sportswear shop, Dollar Tree, Target, Homeware (Marshalls) and many more.
The interstate 4 and highway 192 are about 7-10 mins drive.
FOR THE YOUNG AT HEART
We are ideally situated for easy access to the roads leading to Disney world which incidentally is 11 miles from Hampton Lakes. Universal and Island of Adventure is absolutely awesome, not far from International Drive, possibly about 30-45 minutes drive from Hampton Lakes.
Within 20 to 80 minutes driving distance you can find all of these other attractions: MGM Studios, Busch Gardens, Islands of Adventure , Seaworld, Universal Studios, Watermania. At Downtown Disney Cirque Du Soleil. Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Gatorland (which I can recommend) , Kennedy Space Center, Wet n’Wild and Pleasure Island. Drive time to Orlando Airport is only 35 depending on traffic.
GOLF
Without doubt the number one activity is golf, with almost 150 courses within an hour’s drive of Orlando.
There are over 30 golf courses within 30 mins of Hampton lakes and the nearest, “Highlands Reserve” is only 5 mins drive away. About 5 minutes drive away there is Champions Gate, a PGA Championship Golf Course designed by Greg Norman.
FISHING FOR RELAXATION
I believe you will need a fishing license, this can be checked via the internet.
No fishing allowed on Hampton Lakes, as it is a man made lake and has membrane that can be punctured. There is also an abundance of lakes and rivers, in fact far too many to mention by name. There are a considerable amount of activities around the area such as fishing, boating, water skiing, jet skiing, canoeing, and windsurfing. Details will be found in the tourist information booths and the malls.
There is a state park about 10 minutes drive, from our villa, located on Highway 27, heading North. Take a picnic and enjoy! There is a small charge to gain entry.
We just love winding down with a short drive and then watching the mirror like lakes and the abundance of wildlife, is truly fascinating.

Travel times for the above attractions will vary, depending on traffic conditions. From Sanford airport/Orlando airport, take 417 south and stay on it until it becomes interstate 4 (1-4 west). Once on 1-4 west you will take exit 55. Head North on highway 27 about 3.8 miles and on your right you will see a wall with the Hampton lakes sign. Please note the 417 is a toll road you will need about $10 in change.
